Chain Work

Chain work is ideal for seed tree harvest. It is a less aggressive management system that doesn't penetrate deep into the soil profile leaving fibrous roots of seed trees intact but will distribute the debris evenly across the treated area. Reduces viable competition by disturbing the growth of established undesirables. Using this practice you gain 100% soil exposure, limit debris piles and minimizes the impact on large seed trees. Works well in shallow soils and rock cap to maximize micro-site exposure.
